To educate a child, there are many factors to consider. It is advisable to teach children how to develop criteria that will enable them to compare with their own experiences. What Is Good and What Is Bad? is a good example of this. The story is about Galvin, a boy who tries to understand what is good and what is bad from his perspective. He thinks of his examples, considering the situations that a child goes through regularly. For example, Galvin views following his parents' directions as good and having a messy room as bad. The author, Mrs. D., considers aspects such as family, society, and education.

The tips that What Is Good and What Is Bad? provides are intended for the good of children so that they can interact harmoniously in society. I liked the fact that the subject is approached from the perspective of a child. The images are well chosen because they show situations at home, such as Galvin playing with his friends, and similar scenarios. Mrs. D. has written a very enjoyable book, with short and flowing text that highlights the qualities and characteristics that every good child should possess. Another positive aspect is that the book engages children to think about what is good and what is bad. At the end of the book, there are questions that children can reflect on and create personal examples.
