Author Biography

Introducing the creative mind behind this enchanting children's book, meet the talented author, TL Brown, born in the city of Louisville, Kentucky. She now calls the picturesque town of Toccoa, Georgia, her home. As a loving mother of four and a proud grandmother to ten precious little ones, she has always cherished the joy of storytelling and sharing magical adventures with her family.

This book was inspired by her granddaughter Rosalie. Her son, Joe Brown, was integral in its creation. Joe is not only an exceptionally gifted artist but also possesses an awe-inspiring imagination. Without his remarkable talents and unwavering support, this whimsical journey through the pages of this book would not have been possible. Together, they have woven a tale that promises to captivate the hearts and minds of young readers, igniting their own imaginations and sparking a lifelong love for the magic of storytelling

Dreams are what sleep is made of; dreams lead to endless fantastical possibilities. The sky is the limit, quite literally, and all one has to do is close their eyes and imagine just about anything. TL Brown leads young readers into the beauty of dreams in her stunning book, When I Go To Sleep Tonight. A little girl, all dressed for a party, is going to ride her unicorn to the moon and back. She’s going to have a picnic on either Jupiter or Mars. What should she have for her picnic? I’d suggest cakes, pies, and cookies – why not? It is, after all, an imaginative picnic and won't conclude with a sweet-induced tummy ache. It all sounds like great fun. Shall we join her?

TL Brown’s picture book, When I Go To Sleep Tonight, is all about dreaming wonderful, imaginative dreams. From the dream-like cover image to this lyrical story told in rhyming verse, this book is absolutely beautiful! The illustrations themselves will lure the young reader into a realm of endless possibilities and open doors for detailed discussions. Young readers will be inspired to imagine their own sleep-induced adventures, perhaps through the universe like this little girl, or through the hidden realms deep beneath the seas. The sky’s the limit or, perhaps, it’s the ocean’s depth that’s the limit. Imagination can take anyone anywhere they want to go and it’s a great way to encourage young readers to drift off to sleep and embrace the powers of dreamland. This book is truly magical!
