Welcome to the class of the nicest of all the teachers. Once every week, the students in Ms. Freckle's class gather in a large circle to share an act of kindness they witnessed or performed during the week. We are in luck because today is one of those days, and we have just entered the classroom as Peter, a charming little boy, shares how he used his brand-new skateboard to show kindness. A big smile cuts across his face as he recalls how his five-year-old brother joyfully rode the skateboard. However, on the other side of the group circle, the class's most popular students plot something that could leave Peter feeling lonely and sad. Why would they want to hurt Peter? Find out in C.M. Harris's Why Can't I?

Why Can't I? was a joy to read. It's a sweet children's book about sharing kindness and love, saying sorry when we hurt someone, and having positive thoughts about ourselves and others. Your child can establish new friendships and maintain positive relationships with the aid of this beautiful book. It will also inspire them to value integrity and obedience. This book was outstanding in every respect. I enjoyed reading it and I'm sure every child will feel the same way. C.M. Harris used language that any child over seven will understand and be able to read. The text is packed with intriguing word constructions and rhymes to help children improve their literacy skills and make the narrative enjoyable to read out aloud. This is a fantastic read intended to entertain and educate. I highly recommend it to children of all ages.

Ms. Freckle is at it once again. This time she asks that her students show her examples of what they have done for others as an act of kindness. As expected, the class is agog with activity, but even though some of her students have lovely examples to share, only some are happy with the turn of events. Peter is the victim of some rather unpleasant behavior toward him by some of his classmates, and on discovering this, Ms. Freckles takes it upon herself to right this wrong. What do you think she will do? Find out in Why Can’t I? by C.M. Harris and Ashlynn Feather.

The latest edition of the Ms. Freckles School Stories series focuses on the benefits of showing kindness to others in need. The storyline is basic as expected in a book whose obvious target is little children in their early developmental stages. However, it jumps right into the meat of the subject matter to immerse them in the core message before their attention is lost. The bright colors and delightful pictures are impossible to ignore, and I daresay it would be tough for a child to put it down. The language is simple to follow, but what stands out is how C.M. Harris and Ashlynn Feather present their story, going out of their way to impress with cute letters and blackboard scrawls in their pictures. Why Can’t I? sets out to spread the message of kindness, which I believe it does so excellently with beautiful illustrations and a story all children can connect to.
