In the True Republic, the last Whisp is being hunted. Invisible to the naked eye, a spark of electricity can momentarily make them visible. The song of the Thresholds is calling. This gateway could be her only chance to escape to another realm and possibly survive. William Devine has recently moved to Worldmouth with his father and older sister. Will doesn’t want to be noticed. But when you are the new kid in school and prone to sudden nosebleeds, someone is bound to pay attention. When Will suddenly has an extra voice inside his mind after his head is flushed in the toilet, things start getting really confusing and very dangerous. Dive into this young adult fantasy with Will and the Whisp by Ross MacKay, and never look back.

Author Ross MacKay certainly has a unique talent to draw in any audience. Stimulating all the senses, keeping a good pace, and having an exceptional plot only enhances the experience. This wonderful fantasy will keep you on the edge of your seat, unable to stop reading. With an interesting array of characters to enhance the plot, it is no surprise that they are solid and relatable. I gladly recommend this book to young adults as well as more mature readers. There is a variety of emotions and with the book being written in the third person, the reader is privy to the inner workings of each of the major characters. I loved the ending and the message it portrayed. Will and the Whisp is not just a flight of fantasy, but a truly inspirational story.
