Yesterday’s Kiss by Carly Fall is a supernatural, paranormal love story that is enjoyable from beginning to end. Maggie has just signed her divorce papers and is finally free of the abusive husband she had once loved dearly. She is ready to start life again and try to forget her previous unhappy life. Maggie loves reading and history, and to begin her new life she plans a trip to Bisbee, Arizona, a place that has always been of special interest because of its rich historical past. While on an historic tour, Maggie never expected to find a ghost there. Joseph appears to Maggie while she is alone and she feels a sudden connection. As Joseph begins to explain that they were married over 100 years ago and he has been waiting for her all these years, Maggie faints and so ends the tour as she is immediately taken to the local hospital. As Maggie’s mind clears, she is not sure if what happened was a dream, a wish, or perhaps she has just gone crazy. As she continues her exploring, however, once again Joseph is there and he takes her back to the first time they met. As Maggie’s time in Bisbee continues, we spend time with her and Joseph and learn of the deep love they had shared.

Yesterday’s Kiss was a beautiful story of love, and though I am not a great fan of ghost stories this one had a different feel. Carly Fall made it plausible and very believable and I could do nothing but share in Maggie’s confusion, while hoping for a happy ending. Yesterday’s Kiss is only eighty-four pages but each one is a gem. I hope that Carly Fall plans on sharing more of Maggie with us in the future.
