Bullying is at an all-time high in this country. Bullying shows up in various forms and at times turns into domestic violence. Freedom: Defeating the Bullies - A Personal Journey is Ryan Finch’s story about how his life was plagued with bullying. Freedom is about Ryan, but told through his mother, Jane Finch. Jane saw and experienced a totally different side of the equation as she witnessed the challenges that Ryan experienced due to being bullied. No one deserves to be mistreated and especially harmed in any way, from emotional to physical, but for Ryan, this was his plight from a child to his teenage years. In Freedom, you will learn that only when Jane got to the root of the problem and decided to create some changes did Ryan's circumstances change.

Reading Freedom gives a personal account of two different perspectives from Jane, the mother, to Ryan, the child and victim. This parallel allows the reader to gain the experience of the compelling emotions that everyone involved was experiencing. In Freedom you will find a variety of resources from organizations that provide support to victims that are bullied to candidly discussing the different looks and faces of bullying. It is important to recognize what bullying looks like. Red Balloon Learner Centers played a big role in helping the Finch family during this difficult time. All of the proceeds from the sale of Freedom: Defeating the Bullies - A Personal Journey by Jane Finch and Ryan Finch will go to the Red Balloon Learner Centers.
