Alfred Chong, author of “Raising the Alarm over False Conversion”, is a man on a mission to save countless false converts - Christians who professed to be filled with the holy spirit but who are not actually true converts. So, they are not born again and are destined to eternal damnation. Matthew 25:46 says “Unless a carnal man receives a salvation during his lifetime or before the Lord Jesus returns, he will end up in eternal misery.” Chong helps us see the hidden, dangerous situations that are present in our churches, e.g. lack of strong spiritual leadership, strife within the church, false teachings, etc. But there is hope. True believers can learn to distinguish a real conversion and take action to educate themselves about God’s ways of dealing with salvation.
The cover design is graphic and explicitly captures the book’s message. The 100-page guide for spiritual salvation is fast-paced, comprehensive and succinct. The author patiently and expertly discusses the subject in layman’s terms. The flow charts, format and explanation of terms helped convey key concepts. Alfred Chong’s steadfast dedication to Christian teaching is evident. Predictably, some readers may find his work controversial and heretical. Previously, he was a free thinker. However, the author was called to salvation in 2003. Chong is a member of the Wesley Methodist Church located in Singapore. “Raising the Alarm over False Conversion” is highly recommended to anyone interested in deepening their understanding of the Bible.
