"Wedding Cakes with Lorelie" is a step-by-step self-help book for the beginner wedding cake maker. It has a comprehensive list of utensils, what baking terms mean, measurements, and where or what you need to buy to start with the business of baking wedding cakes. It explains what to do with the different tips for frosting and how you can use plastic to freeze your cake until another day. It should give the beginner confidence in trying to become a master. It is easy to read and uses pictures to make the concepts clearer and easy. It also supplies tips on how to take care of, freeze, and make the frosting and cakes turn out the best. Furthermore, it contains a live link to a YouTube video and from there to their website where the beginner will find many more tips and ideas, questions, answers, and the support needed to be successful.

I found "Wedding Cakes with Lorelie" to be a very good baking book for the pastry student. I like the support and most of the instructions and the way it made me feel that it is all so easy. I have made wedding cakes before, and it wasn't easy, but in "Wedding Cakes with Lorelie" I have found tips to make my cakes more easily and make them beautiful. The easy instructions walk you from the first ingredient in the cake to the frosting with an ease that will surprise you. I will treasure this book and all the wonderful tips and ideas in it. It is a great book for anyone who would like to learn how to make wedding cakes and for those who already know.

"Lorelie, love the book! It is awesome, well done and very understandable for people just starting out. I can't wait to get home this evening so I can really look through it in it's totality. Thank you so much for sharing. Will definitely be kept in my reference materials."

Thank you so very much for the eBook…I cannot believe how wonderfully laid out your Step-by-Steps are!! The pictures help show/demonstrate better with me being a “hands on” person, and I will have NO trouble what so ever following your book- being very clear & concise!! I also like how you gave the amounts of what the recipes will cover and fill. "You can find recipes everywhere, but not knowing how many of what sizes of cakes it will make. I was confused on the tiers and layers, and learning right from the beginning of the book already! You were very thorough, touching on every little thing as you go. I have paid for 2 cake classes, and can say you are going to be all I will need! And I can’t wait to get more into it feeling more confident now! I will watch for your 2nd book to purchase in the near future!!
Thanks so much"

"I have finally had the chance to look at your e-book and I think it’s fabulous. We are quite similar in our teaching system and your book really made me smile!I always tell my students to break a cake down into sections and advise them that everything is just a shape.Which is pretty much what your book advised me about wedding cakes, build everything up in stages until you get your final result.

Your book breaks everything down into bite size sections, so much so that I think even a novice would be fine actually making one. I did like some of the recipes you have for frosting and I will have a go at those, as well as more piping which is something I need more practice with.
I liked the tip about the tin, I hadn’t thought of doing that.

Many thanks again for the book, it will be my go-to-guide if I ever get requested to make a wedding cake, however; for now, I’ll stick with the novelty cakes and teaching.
Kind regards"

Misty

"I liked how easy you make things appear! It gives me hope that I can learn the wedding cakes and master my piping!"

Wedding Cake Book Review

Lorelie is plainly well experienced, having learned to create wedding cakes at a fancy French pastry shop as an assistant cake decorator and continuing on from there for years of experience.

She tells the reader the book was created "with the novice in mind - but also as a great refresher for intermediate & advanced cake bakers."

Boy is she right. Keep it simple is her motto and she does, giving help, tips and recipes for you to create your own magical wedding cake.

Lorelie covers it all - tools (from the basics to the extras), terminology, ingredients you'll need, cake building instructions and even a wonderful recipe for The Best Wedding Cake recipe (and a couple others as well as frosting and fillings) with detailed instructions and illustrations. Lorelie makes it simple for you with very clear instructions, lots of photos and measurements.

Along the way she gives tips for hiding little imperfections (who doesn't make a mistake or create a blip?), how to determine how large a cake to make, explains how stacked cakes are supported and provides a resource, even safely transporting your cake once it's done.

This book (which looks like the first of several) focuses on stacked cakes and it's not to be missed for those creating their own wedding cakes or perhaps making a party out of it and creating it with the help of friends in the kitchen.

What a great way to create a thing of beauty for that special day and save a whole lot of money (have you PRICED a wedding cake lately?) on wedding costs.

Get Lorelei's book & have a blast.
