Greetings! I'm so excited to be here on Reader's Favorite with everyone. I hope you all will tolerate my wild swings from a bit dark and cryptic to goofy kid to airhead to quiet and thoughtful. I'm a little quirky, eclectic and a HUGE dork. I love Harry Potter and Twilight, which if you read Dream Weaver, you'll see how that leaked into the story. I love my home in Spokane WA and that too, you will see interlaced in the book. I love playing with my camera and I create a yearly calendar for my family with some of my pics. One of my shots is published in a book by Chuck Sambuchino called Red Dog/Blue Dog (a pic of my teddy beagle, Dyson). I wish I could dance like the kids on 'So You Think You Can Dance?' and sing like the kids on 'American Idol'. Notice I said wish. But I can hold my own at the club and on a microphone.
So, if you've stayed with me this long, here's the boring kind of stuff...My name is Su Williams. It is my pen name and also my maiden; and legally, my name is Susan Barton. (This is one of only two places you'll find that tidbit.) I'm a wife and mother of four from Eastern WA state, and we live with our ever-changing menagerie of critters. I have an AAS in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Special Education.

If I could only use one word to describe Dream Weaver by Su Williams it would be SUPERB. Luckily I get to use more than one. Dream Weaver is an unusual tale, part fantasy, part paranormal, part romance, part horror and part supernatural. When you roll all those genres into one you have a book you can’t put down. I started reading this book yesterday afternoon and finished it around 3 this morning. I’m usually a very fast reader but I found I wanted to read slowly to savor the exquisite moments of pleasure this book offers.
Emeri Jewel is a seventeen-year-old orphan, and an emancipated young woman. She has faced a lot in her young life: the death of both parents, a stalker, and brutal rape. For many years someone has been watching over her. I suppose you could call him her special angel. Nicholas has tried to ease the nightmares and her pain; he’s done the unthinkable and fallen in love with her. Nicholas is a Cephar, a descendant of the Nephilim. The Cephar have special gifts and use them for good. But there are other descendants called the Rephaim. They also have special gifts but they follow the fallen angel, they crave power and they will do anything to get it. Nicholas is a Dream Weaver: he can manipulate the mind through dreams, and he can ease nightmares, clear one’s mind, and cause one to forget.
Dream Weaver is Su Williams' first novel. I certainly hope it is not her last. Dream Weaver could easily be expanded into a whole series of books. The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, leading me to believe she has more books in mind. I’ve always been curious about the Nephilim and love the idea of an expanded series of books on the topic, even if it is all fiction. This is a series fans of fantasy will not want to miss.
