In Neighbors by Zanne Sweeney, Grace has suffered a lot of loss in her life, Now that her children are on their own, she jumps at the chance to make a life-changing move from New Jersey to Wyoming to live on the ranch she inherited when her uncle passed away. She begins to raise some animals on her property, she quickly makes new friends with the welcoming people in town, and she even meets a man who she insists is just her neighbor. Things seem to be going pretty well in her new home, but soon danger threatens when she realizes that someone doesn’t want her there and will do anything to make sure she is gone. Will this unknown person ruin her chance at happiness in the place she feels naturally at home and with a loving man who has awakened her sensual, passionate side?
Seeing the relationship between Grace and Jed develop in Zanne Sweeney’s Neighbors was not only entertaining but it was also completely heartwarming. These two people have grown children and have been married before, but their past relationships didn’t turn out as they had hoped. Almost giving up on finding love again, Grace and Jed meet each other and can’t ignore the instant chemistry they feel. Sweeney does an excellent job of creating a love story that is undeniably believable where you will root for the characters until the very last page. Filled with steamy, sensual scenes and touching, emotional moments, this is a must-read book for any romance fan. This very well-written story about love, hope, determination, and second chances surely won’t disappoint!
