Chasing Norie is the second book in Sophie Dawson's newest series, Stones Creek. Going to school and helping care for her dying aunt has kept Norie from the family Stones Creek ranch in Colorado for several years, but now she has finally returned home to the ranch she loves so much. And Norie is as determined and independent as ever, despite what ranch foreman Linc thinks about her. And there are many scenes in this book where Norie proves to Linc that she may be a small, delicate looking woman, but she is much tougher than she looks!

I really enjoyed Leah's Peace, the first book in the Stones Creek series, and I was so excited to continue reading about life at the ranch in Chasing Norie. Norie was a feisty young lady and was determined to show these ranch hands just what she could do. I had to laugh at her challenge with Linc, in seeing who could cut the most colts, and again when Nugget Nate had his own challenges for Norie. I love the way Sophie Lawson weaves together the many twists and turns in the story, along with the humor and romance, and added to this, weaves God into the lives of her characters throughout the book. If you want a good clean and enjoyable historical read, I highly recommend Chasing Norie - if you want the full effects of the story, read Leah's Peace first, then Chasing Norie. You are in for a treat with this read, as well as finding out just who won the challenges!
