Breakthrough by John C. Robinson is the story of a man’s journey into the realms of mysticism. The story follows a clinical psychologist who has a new client. When he took on that client, he had no idea that his whole life would be changed. Through the client’s detailed mystic experiences, our clinical psychologist will find himself and rediscover divinity.
This was indeed a journey. I have to say, I was a little skeptical when I started reading this novel. However, I wanted to give it a go because the cover of the novel is very beautiful and it was the thing that attracted me to the novel in the first place. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually started to read this novel. It is invigorating and very entertaining. It is more philosophical in nature, but it is written in a way that makes you agree with it wholeheartedly. The novel is written beautifully, starting with a situation that takes the reader right into the middle of the main argument.
I may have a few issues with the development of the characters, but that can be easily ignored because the story line is perfect and it is something I can appreciate. The whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking, “this is something Dan Brown would write.” All in all, a novel that everyone would appreciate. A great novel that takes you on a spiritual journey.
