Part dystopian novel, part psychological thriller, The Interview by Damian Bruce is a fast paced novel set almost a century in the future. Set in a city crumbling under the weight of rampant poverty, corruption, and a stark contrast between the poor struggling to survive and the rich living high up on the Hill, twelve people arrive for an interview that will give them the chance to change their lives forever. But the interview with Frontline Corporation is far different than they ever would have expected. It is a brutal game that tests not only their fortitude, but also their very will to survive. Who will be the last one standing?

The Interview is a very interesting read. It is almost two stories in one with the present told from Edgar Mason's point of view as each candidate sizes each other up. Then it jumps back to the days prior from the point of view of each candidate eliminated. At first the alternating chapters seem separate, however, as the novel progresses the threads connect, giving the reader a bigger glimpse of not only the world Damian Bruce has created, but also a deeper look at the mechanics behind The Interview itself. The Interview by Damien Bruce is a very interesting and unique read, great for fans of psychological dramas.
