My Best Friend is Who? (Gilmore's Adventures) (Volume 1) by Elizabeth L Rivera is a storybook that will delight and charm children. The book begins with Briana drawing the picture of a mean monster, someone she can talk to and play with. Once she's done, she goes to watch television and she sees the exact reflection of the monster she has drawn in the TV screen. She sees him again and, after a while, the monster comes alive in front of her. He introduces himself as Gilmore T. and he is a monster who can only be seen by small children. This fun story will connect well with young readers who will revel in the adventures and pranks played by Gilmore T.
The story and all its characters are lovable and adorable. There is a lot of fun and mirth in the book which will put a smile on the faces of young readers. It's a good bedtime storybook and parents and grandparents can read it out to their kids and grandkids. The story is also ideal for interactive sessions in classrooms and libraries. The black and white sketches make the characters and scenes come alive, making the story palpable to readers. Kids will love Gilmore T. and will no doubt hope to meet someone like him to bring some adventure and fun into their lives. I am sure young fans will also be waiting eagerly for Volume 2 to learn more about Gilmore T. and his adventures.
