Fight Fire with Fire by Dean S. Hawkins is an uplifting book for all those readers who want to make positive changes in their lives, but are not sure how to get there. The author's story of how to become resilient and how to survive in a tough environment is inspiring to readers and will motivate them to start a new journey and a new beginning, irrespective of what has happened. It takes a lot of courage to change; it is also scary, sobering, and humbling, but this book will guide readers to modify, rewrite, and reinterpret the story of their lives, and make it the way they want it to be.
The author handles the topic with finesse, and connects it beautifully and effortlessly to that of a firefighter's life and the techniques they use to handle the situations they face around them. These simple methods can easily be used and incorporated into our daily lives, enabling us to change habits; especially bad habits. The author's words are insightful and refreshing and, by following the philosophies and strategies in this book, readers can actually look into themselves to make life happier. Life can be tackled in a better way after reading this book.
