Ariel by Fia Essen is a tale of discovery. Ariel Morton used to have the perfect life. Penthouse apartment, fabulous boyfriend and a job that she loved. Until it all disappeared. Her boyfriend left her with little explanation, she lost her job and she’s now renting a gardener's cottage. Ariel is 34 years old and has a job she hates and bills that just won’t stop. She has a family she rarely sees and has no real friends. Then she gets a letter from the Muse Agency. She meets Colin and Celine and is suddenly forced to question her whole life. Can Ariel find herself before it is too late? Can she discover exactly what it is she wants from life? And where do her family fit in? The only way she can find herself is to find the answers to these questions, but what sort of a ride is she in for?
I loved Ariel by Fia Essen. It’s a story that, on some level, most of us can probably identify with and I think we all need a Muse Agency to step in at some time or another. I found it to be an extremely well written book. I loved the characters and the descriptions used brought them to life. It was written in a way that pulled me in and made me feel as if I knew these people and was living the story. To me, that is the mark of an excellent author.
