Leading a Christian life while finding romantic love can have many trials and tribulations. This Christian romance novella by Shalone Anderson describes a fulfilling destiny in Finally! My Love Has Come. Israel or "Izzy" is a movie mogul and a gospel playwright. He would have the world on a string if it weren't for his girlfriend Felicia. Israel is waiting until marriage to make love and Felicia scorns him for it.
Felicia is jealous and angry as she seeks to control him. Israel eventually breaks free from Felicia with the help of his mother. He rejoins his sweetheart Abigail who has many sterling qualities. But Abby has a complicated relationship with Nkrumah and they share a son, Elisha. Later on in this African-based story, the reader learns of Nkrumah's torture of Abby. She has been burned and branded all over her body. There is an unexpected twist when Nkrumah and Felicia get together. Felicia causes a temporary scandal by accusing Israel of fathering an illegitimate son.
Israel is blameless of course. He symbolizes what an upright Christian man can be. There are frequent examples of Israel and Abby praying to the Lord to forgive them and to bring them into a place of righteousness. Finally! My Love Has Come, by author and missionary Shalone Anderson, is a contemporary tale of good and evil. The table of contents is quite bare, listing only the numbers. But this novella may not need chapter breaks at all. What counts in this story is the redeeming force of love.
