Full Count: The Geoff Larsen Series, Book 1 by Kathy Dunkin is the story of a privileged man who has his life turned upside down in just a moment. The novel follows Geoff Larsen, a man who wanted for nothing, thanks to the privileged life he led. He has a job he loves, he has an easy life, and he has friends and family who love him. Even though he is quite wealthy, he lives a very simple life with very few needs. He has a big heart and he does not shy away from sharing his good fortune with other people.
However, there is one thing missing from his life. He is waiting to find that special someone with whom he can share his life, his fun-loving nature and his kind heart. He hasn’t found her yet, but he is not going anywhere. He will wait for that one person, no matter how long he has to wait. This is perhaps the only thing he wants. But little does he know that his life is going to change forever. People say, “Be careful what you wish for,” and Geoff is going to find that out first hand. What happens next is nothing like what he was expecting and nothing he would have even thought of.
Full Count is not intense, but it is definitely attention grabbing. Your heart will be racing and you will be waiting with bated breath to find out what happens next. Geoff is likable, he is fun, and he is very genuine. You cannot help but root for him and sympathize with him. Kathy Dunkin did an amazing job of bringing us a strong story in a fast-paced and well-developed scenario. I loved it, and the cover is great.
