A convalescing detective and a group of elderly retirees team up to solve a decade-old murder in the entertaining sleuth mystery, Late for Bingo (The Way Over The Hill Gang Book 2) by MK Scott. After their success with the last case they worked, it is time for The Over the Hill Gang to unravel another mystery. All inmates of Greener Pastures, the team consists of a detective and five spunky seniors who don't take no for an answer. With the new case file in hand, Marcy once again gathers her golden-aged motley crew to present them with a new case. The murder of a young mother has been unsolved for ten years. Her sixteen-year-old daughter was left orphaned and penniless. Because a fairly large sum of money had disappeared, the police ruled it as robbery. However, due to some of the circumstances surrounding the reclusive mother's life, Marcy and her helpers don't quite agree. Can they do what the police failed to do? Find and catch the murderer?
Late for Bingo (The Way Over The Hill Gang Book 2) by MK Scott is a delightful and amusing murder mystery. It is an excellent cozy mystery with irresistible characters, diverting situations and an unusual setting. The plot unfolds at an even pace, keeping the storyline intriguing. Although the murder investigation is interesting, the thing I enjoyed the most about the story is how the primary characters react in each situation. This is a fun book to read, and I highly recommend it to mystery lovers who know that age is relative. Wonderful series!
