Love Has No Ending by M. RéShor is a fast paced and gripping novel. Ex-special agent Troy’s life evolves from one of danger and espionage to the safety and tranquility of family life with wife Jill and sixteen-year-old daughter Madi. But, unknown to him, crazed Erika (a woman Troy paid no attention to from his college days) has devised a plan to destroy his family and take Troy for herself. Her sick but carefully thought out plan involves murder, lies, kidnap and torture. She uses her knowledge and position as a psychiatrist at Pendergrass Sanitarium, her skills in creating human lookalike robots, and her most deadly weapon of all - mind-altering drugs – to satisfy her obsession. Troy and his family find themselves helpless and in horrific danger, but determined to survive Erika’s psychotic plan.
M. RéShor has written an intriguing and exciting page-turner of a novel. I was gripped from the beginning and kept guessing to the very last page. Love Has No Ending is a well-written and carefully plotted story, full of thrilling twists and turns and nail-biting moments of horror and suspense. All the main characters are well-defined and believable. Erika’s background is carefully revealed in snippets in order to give the reader an explanation for her unbalanced and dangerous behavior. I liked the author’s choice to write in present tense narrative as this really brought an urgency and immediacy to the plot – so much so that, with all the non-stop twists and shock moments, I felt as though I was watching a captivating thriller of a movie. A combination of love, obsession and psychological thriller, this is a brilliant novel that entertains and keeps the reader hooked and captivated in the scariest but most delightful and satisfying of ways. Thoroughly enjoyable. Recommended.
