Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream: Rebecca Steele Series, Book 2 is a contemporary Western romance written by Joanne Patterson. When Emily, Rebecca’s best friend, and former co-worker in the airline industry, retired, her retirement party was a major event featuring loud music, good friends, and the warm ambiance of The Hummingbird Cafe. Marty, the cafe’s owner, and his wife Dixie had been like parents to Rebecca after she was orphaned when her parents died in a car accident. Marty knew that the apartment the two women shared was in the process of being sold to a developer, and he had an idea which might benefit everyone involved. While Rebecca’s music career was already getting stronger, Emily hadn’t figured out what she wanted to do after her retirement. Marty’s idea thrilled both of them. The setup was in so many ways the dream that Rebecca had held in her heart since she was very young -- and her new life was only just beginning.

Joanne Patterson’s Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is a well-written, inspirational, and compelling story about two friends whose lives change after leaving the airline industry. Patterson’s characters are finely honed and believable, and her plot is unpredictable and filled with twists and turns that invariably happen in real life. I especially enjoyed seeing how Marty and Becky work on her career and the efforts made by each of the persons involved in each show. And while it’s the second book in the Rebecca Steele series, it reads fine as a stand-alone. Finding the Dream is a clean romance that is also suitable for young adult readers. Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream: Rebecca Steele Series, Book 2 is most highly recommended.

After waiting to find out what was in store for Becky after reading Joanne Patterson's first book, Rebecca Steele,Chasing the Dream, I was delighted to read about the next phase of her life. Exciting things are happening to her and it was fun to turn the pages to see what would come next. I found myself rooting for her as she is presented with so many ups and downs in the new life that she has chosen for herself. I loved reading about her quest to find her dream. Now it's time to begin the wait for book #3.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES Book 2)
By Joanne Patterson
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES Book 2) by Joanne Patterson. It not only has a wonderful storyline, it also has wonderful characters too. Becky Steele is an amazing woman. She is strong, kind, loves animals, and is a star on the rise with her country music career. She has her best friend and sidekick Emily. Her world conspires to throw her a curve. What will happen? What does the future hold for Becky? Read this book to find out. This is a book that is exciting, entertaining, and just plain hard to put down until I had read the final page. I grew to care about what happens to Becky with each chapter that I read. I wanted her to be happy. There are some moments in the story that I didn’t see coming as well as moments that made me smile. The story did have my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. I loved that the story took place on a ranch and that animals, such as horses and dogs were included. Don’t miss out on Becky’s journey. It has romance as well as moments that touched my heart. I highly recommend reading it.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING A DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES BOOK 2) by JOANNE PATTERSON. This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone and its a fast book! I really enjoyed this story. Its the story of Rebecca(Becky) Steele who is a up and coming Country Music Star. She has moved to a ranch just outside of Nashville and rides horses on the rodeo circuit in Tennessee. Her best friend and side kick Emily is with her every step of the way to help her with adventures, secrets and companionship. Becky has become very strong and independent and she loves animals almost more than people. Just when she thinks her life is perfect a huge curve ball is thrown at her. Will she be able to survive the trouble or will she let old doubts seep in and destroy her near perfect life she has now? This is such a fun book and I loved every page. I will be going back to read the first one for sure!

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. Rebecca Steele, or Becky as everyone calls her, has traded her life as a flight attendant for ranch living outside of Nashville, Tennessee. She rides her horse Trigger through the rodeo circuit and begins her career as a country music star. Life seems to be going good for Becky until she’s thrown a curve ball. Becky will have to learn how to forget her fears in order to be truly happy for the rest of her life. I loved watching Becky’s life unfold. Her friends love her and only want the best for her. It was heartwarming to see how much her best friend Emily is there for her through thick and thin. The author made Becky into such a lovable character, I couldn’t help but root her on.

I enjoyed this book. This is a new author for me, I look forward to reading more from her. This is the second book in this series which can be read as a standalone. I will be going back for book one for sure. This is a well developed story that has characters that pop off the pages and into your heart. I had no problems connecting to them. Becky has many things going on in her life and they seem to be going well. What will happen when life throws a curveball into the mix? Will she take the leap of faith and beat her fears? I enjoyed the characters in this story. They kept the story engaging and had me turning pages. They brought twists and turns that made me want to know how things would turn out. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Heather

I love that I’ve found a new author to follow! This book is the second in the series but fell into my hands without my reading the first. It stands well on its own and was just a wonderfully emotional and full story in its own right. I immediately connected with the characters and flew through the pages. This fast paced inspirational romance will keep you interested and leave you wanting more. I cannot wait to read more from this author and go back to read the first in the series.

Lucy

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson. I loved this book, the storyline and most definitely the characters. I found myself invested in Becky’s career and most certainly her life. I felt that at times, I was on a roller coaster of emotions. Becky has a lot going on in her career and her life and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
This was a new author to me and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to much more.

Savvy

Even if you have not read her first book is one is easy to get into and enjoy fully! Sit back and dream away!

Carol

Great book that keeps you guessing. Second book by author and I hope there will be more to come!

This is the second book I’ve read from this author. I think I’m going to read the first book “Chasing A Dream” again to refresh my memory of the relationship between Becky and Johnny. This was an interesting story and I enjoyed reading it. Joanne is such a good writer, I felt like I was there.

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. Even though this is the second book in the series, it could be read as a standalone. But having said that, I think I would have maybe enjoyed the story if I had followed Rebecca right from the beginning and read book one before starting this story. Finding the Dream is a sweet contemporary western romance, with plenty of touching and heart-warming moments.
We follow Rebecca through the rodeo circuit, and watch as her music career continues to climb. Then, just when all the stars seem to be aligned, life throws her a bit of a curveball, and decisions will need to be made which will change everything.
A sweet read!

Thank you, Joanne Patterson!

This is the 2nd book from this author....and I really enjoyed both! Well developed characters and story line. It can be read as a stand-alone but I’m glad I read the 1st book as it gave me more depth in understanding the characters. I hope she writes more!

Rebecca Steele is a upcoming Country Star, come on the adventure and see what happens next.

I loved this is story it was just a sweet felt coming of age story as Becky's career in both music and the rodeo takes off she is navigated through the pit falls, surprises and good friends she meets along the way. When she is dealt a curve ball will she be able to overcome this and more forward.

I had not read the first story but feel that this can be read as a standalone story, you find Becky a well rounded woman who finds she has to overcome a fear and loved how you follow her through the book as though you are part of the story. I think the story was well written and the character where well developed. This is the first story I have read by this author and would love to read more.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES Book 2) by Joanne Patterson is a sweet and fun romance story. It took me a little bit to warm and settle in but I did enjoy it. It is a quick read and the twist at the end, I didn't see coming. There are times when the story is a little emotional, heartbreaking and heartfelt at the same time.

Rebecca Steele left her boring life behind to follow the rodeo circuit and thus begins her way into country music. Just when things seem to be going well for her she is thrown a curveball. Now, if she can learn to overcome her fears she may just get her HEA.

Not sure how it could be, but the second book in this series was even better than the first! You feel like you are right there in the story, and I found myself being so anxious to get to the next chapter to find out what happened! A quick read (I love the short chapters), and it kept you looking for more. I can feel this author getting better and better, and can’t wait for the third in the series!

This is such a beautiful romance story. There is an inspirational feel to this book. Safe for all YA through adults, and such a comfort book.

Becky Steele is back and her life has taken a 360 turn around. Music, horses and the cowboy life. Life is different, but so much better. But let's not forget about Chance and Cassidy. Is this really what Becky wants? Bet you're as surprised as I am.

Joanne Patterson has written this beautiful story. Her book is smooth reading, well written and loaded with goodness. Add in the twist and read how Becky works through it. I fell in love with the characters in this story as well as the animal's. But most of all I fell in love with this author. I'm looking for more! Well Done Joanne Paterson.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING A DREAM by Joanne Patterson is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series. Rebecca, or Becky Steele, has been living her best life with her friend, Emily, there for the ride. She has changed the direction of her life and little does she know but there are more changes to come. Does she take this new opportunity or continue the life she is enjoying? I hadn't read the first book in the series but really enjoyed the characters and story in this book. Becky is a strong but sweet individual who can inspire someone to follow their dreams. I read this story quickly and enjoyed there were a few twists to keep me on my toes. I also enjoyed that the story doesn't get saccharine sweet as some inspirational stories do. The characters are well rounded and interesting. I look forward to grabbing more books in the future by this author.

I haven’t had the pleasure of reading a JOANNE PATTERSON novel before this one but I was glad that I gave the new to me author a chance. This book may have started a bit slow but for me it really took off once it did and actually left me reeling for a bit more at the end. I was not expecting the ending and I really do love books that can lead me on a bit and spin the whole thing around 360 quickly. It makes the book memorable and long lasting for me.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM is the second book in the REBECCA STEELE series from Joanne Patterson, but I was able to read it without the first one and enjoy it, although I will go back now and check out the one I missed. We find Rebecca as she is leaving the life she has known behind for a more fast and exciting one on the rodeo circuit. She stumbles into country music in the process and things seem to be going well for Rebecca until the twist you don’t see coming… you will have to read that for yourself, but this is one you don’t want to miss. )

Becky is back!

Patterson pens a grand story in Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. This is the second book in the Rebecca "Becky" Steele series, and an all new adventure. Becky finds herself in a new environment, and new challenges and relationships, while trying to pursue her dreams. Don't worry, Emily is there, right beside her. A very well-written story, and I enjoyed it. The author's technique of intense characters and great plotlines is a gift. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. This book is entertaining and puts the reader right in the middle of Becky's life, and her love life. I have fast become a big fan of Patterson. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson a dreamy five-star read. This is number two in the Rebecca Steele series but they can all be read as stand-alone as I haven’t read number one and don’t feel like I’ve missed anything, but I do plan on going back and checking Chasing the dream as I enjoyed the style. This was one of those stories that will show you aspects of life that you don’t see, inspire us to take a chance. There are so many wonderful characters in this story, Becky herself obviously but secondary characters who brought the story alive. I also loved how the romance was sweet and honest, it added something to the story.

Do you have a dream of what you wanted to do? Did you achieve it? In this book, Becky is still on the path of finding her dream. She is handling everything that is happening in her life. She now lives in Tennessee on a ranch. She is going through the rodeo circuit and her music career is going up to new heights. Now things are going well, she is thrown a curveball that makes her think about what she should do. Can Becky hit the curveball out of the park or will she play it safe and let the ball go past her? Joanne Patterson is a talented author. I found her writing style is flowing and adventurous. It was written realistic enough that I found myself with Becky going through all of her adventures. I highly recommend this story for those who want a fun quick read.

Finding the Dream was the first book I've read by Joanne Patterson, from her stand alone, Rebecca Steele series. I never know what to expect when I read a standalone series, especially when I don't read the books in sequential order. While I wish I had read book one first to get to know the characters a bit more in depth, this was still a great read. I enjoyed the characters and felt as though the storyline flowed well. Definitely a fun, fast paced book that I enjoyed reading on the lake. I look forward to reading more from Joanne Patterson.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES Book 2) by Joanne Patterson is a wonderful read. Joanne Patterson writes about a wonderful character, Becky, who is always going on adventures. Along with her best friend, they share secrets with each other that would make you wonder if they are sisters. This novel is filled with suspense and a bit of intrigue thrown in to liven things up. Joanne Patterson is a terrific author who knows what readers want when they read a western novel.

This is an exciting read as we follow Becky on the road to fame doing the rodeo circuit. With her best friend, Emily in tow, Becky lives at a horse ranch where she’s content until powers higher than herself force her to put a lot in perspective for her new life.
I loved reading the morals this story leads up to from love lessons to lessons on life. I love characters that can brave a lot of storms and come out on top. This was a beautiful read.

Author Joanne Patterson once posted an inspirational piece on her site which said, “Hearing old music you used to love is like getting in touch with an old friend.” Reading her second book in the series, “Rebecca Steele, Finding the Dream” is like hearing and oldie you remember and getting in touch with an old friend, Becky, again. You’re drawn again to follow her from one adventure to her next. She will become an old friend you will want to exchange Christmas cards with every year!

This was a love story with unexpected twists and turns. It was a fun and quick read. I did not read the first book, but I probably would have liked this one even more if I did. I was however able to follow the story without reading the first. I’ll probably go back and read the first now.

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream by Joanne Patterson is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series and my first book by this author. I am a sucker for a book that takes place in any part of my home state. That might have drawn me to the book but Joanne’s writing and great characters are what had me flipping the pages.

Great storyline, really like the little twist. As this is standalone, I can’t wait to go back and read the first book just to get to know Rebecca Steele a little better. Can’t wait to see what Rebecca’s next adventure going to be.

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is book 2 in the series. I did not read book 1 but, that didn’t really affect my review. However, I may have liked the book more if I read book 1! I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were likable which makes it that much easier to read and enjoy a book. This was a quick sweet read about the life of Becky and some love along the way. I really liked reading about Chance and Becky. Every good book has some suspense and some twists to keep you entertained. I found myself trying to put the book down but saying, one more chapter first. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES) Book 2 by Joanne Patterson
4 out of 5 stars
Western Romances are very much a hit or miss for me. I feel that the genre has died and that they can often be replaced with the much more exciting world of YA, or Sci-Fi, however, I can eat my words when it comes to the writings of Patterson. Patterson brings the world of Western Romance back to life. The characters of both Becky and Emily warm the heart in such a way that even the darkest soul can feel the hearth burning. Becky is back in the world and adventuring on her own, with Emily there to support everything that she does and laughs along the way.
This is a quick read, which I really appreciate, as I rarely have the luxury to sit and indulge in a long read anymore and the chapters where quick and efficient with details and information. Lovers of young adult, women empowerment and coming of age will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

I have read a couple of books from this author and she always exceeds my expectations. This is the second book of the Rebecca Steele series.I was so happy that we got to continue Becky’s journey. I love a good small town romance but this author blew my mind. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I could not put this book down until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.

Becky is now living the country life. She loves living in Tennessee so she can focus more on my country music career. Becky starts realizing that her friendship could turn into something more. She is happy with her life and with her best friend by her side she can feel like she can do anything. When Becky gets thrown a curve ball she is going to have a hard choice to make. Will she make the decision that her heart wants or will she choose the safer option?

This book was so entertaining. It kept me turning the pages wanting to know what would happen next. I couldn't help myself but root for Becky while she goes through all of the ups and downs of life in pursuit of her dreams. There are also other wonderful characters in this story. This can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read book one first for a better experience. The author does a great job making you feel like you are right in this story. The author gets you completely invested in the story. I highly recommend this book.

Fast. Full of dramatic action. An easy and fun short read. Joanne Patterson is new to me, so it was a little bit more of a thrill to delve into this story. My take on the leading lady is that she is tenacious and willing to give just about anything go. Her life is fast paced and energetic, and it was a pleasure to read about. There is a lot of things covered in this story, with love, courage, suspense and risk taking. The characters were engaging and not too complex. A delightful story that can be read as a stand alone. 4 stars.

Rebecca Steel Finding the Dream is book two in the Rebecca Steel series by Joanne Patterson. I have yet to read book one, but I definitely will now. I don't feel as though I needed to beforehand, I still very much enjoyed this story. Becky is, of course, the star of the show in this story, but you get to meet some other wonderful characters along the way. Beckys life is going better than she could have thought. Her dreams of being a country singer are becoming more real, and she’s working hard to be a success. Her relationship with her boyfriend is going from strength to strength, even with a few curve balls thrown their way. Life isn’t always sweet, but Becky works hard and you are rooting for her to get her happy ending. There is so much packed into this story that at times I found it hard to keep up, although I usually favour stories that are more descriptive. You meet so many characters and have so many adventures that at times I would have to stop and retrace my steps slightly. However, this is a lovely, heartwarming read and it was the perfect accompaniment to a sunny afternoon in the garden.

4 stars! Good story, characters and read. This book can be read as a standalone, although after reading it, I want to go back and read the first book. In this story, Becky is living her dream life, riding horses and singing, and along for the ride is her best friend Emily. The introduction of the love interest Chance is sweet, anyone could tell that he likes Becky, but who is he really? The romance and obstacles the main character faces are all nicely written into the story, along with a nice twist, makes this story a short and fun read.

This is the first book I've read by Patterson. As the second book in the Rebecca Steele Series it continues to follow the main character on her journey. This is a page turner and will get you hooked. Rebecca, aka Becky, is a country singer. She keeps a friend at arms length, but things start to bring them closer. An accident causes her to lose her memories of her past. What happens when the past shows up? The quote I choose for Becky is: Let’s take Cassidy shopping and get her some new clothes to wear to the rodeo. Would she like to shop with us?” Adam, aka Chance, is a rodeo performer. He's been smitten with Becky since he came to town. He didn't realize that four years later would bring them together. Can he handle Becky's past? Can she handle his past? The quote I choose for Chance is: “You are one in a million, Becky Steele and I love you.” I highly recommend this book for a romantic at heart. It kept me interested from beginning to end. I had a hard time putting it down and didn't want it to end.

This is book 2 in the Rebecca Steele series. It follows on with Becky's story and her career. I didn't read the first book but this book was easy to get into and follow that I didn't feel I missed anything by not reading the first book. Its a lovely romance set in Nashville. This is such a sweet story of starting over. This is a really great romance centered around country life. Becky has had such a hard time with men and it's made her really cautious about opening herself up to another man and really giving it her all. Chance is so different from the other men she's met. He sees something special in Becky the first time he lays eyes on her and he's willing to wait as long as it takes and to take things as slowly as she needs to be comfortable. When she finally does let her guard down and lets Chance in they are so adorable together and Cassidy is just the incing on the cake. There are twists and turns in this story that kept me turning the pages until I reached the absolutely beautiful ending. This is a sweet wholesome romance not to be missed.

Dreamgirl

While the this is the second installment to this series, it is just as good as the first. Before this series I had never read anything by this author before but I will definitely be looking into more of this authors work. Their word building is fantastic, the characters are wonderful, and the overall plot and storyline flowed together beautifully. This book was overall a fun, sweet romance, that puts you right in the middle of Becky's life. Becky is energetic, spirited, loving, and loyal to those closest to her. Meanwhile Chance is a hardworking, sweet, and sexy cowboy who would do anything to make Becky happy. While this book is on the shorter side, and I believe there were scenes that could have been more descriptive. But overall this book was perfect for the short western romance that it was.

Oh my goodness, I am a fan! I jumped in at book 2 (Have no fear, I will be going back to book 1 and reading the series again) and fell in love with Rebecca. She is so down to earth and good hearted. I love the relationships she has with everyone. Her relationship/friendship with Marty and his wife is so beautiful. For this couple to have raised a young girl after her parents were killed. Now Emily, she is kind of the Yin to Becky's Yang. Becky is calm while Emily is a bit of a wildflower/social butterfly. She and Emily have been friends since they were little girls. The story is so well-written you cannot help but feel every pang of emotion Becky feels no matter what that emotion is. When it comes to romance, Becky has a pretty good head on her shoulder to know what she wants and what she doesn't. When she meets Chance, all bets are off. The two of them are like to stars colliding. It is a story written in the stars. Romance and adventure, a bit of relationship building. Check this story out. I would give it a 10 if I could. I highly recommend it.

It was a wonderful to read the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. It is possible to read the second installment in the series as a stand-alone as it develops the plot from the first book but leaves enough to be concluded in the third book. However, the characters and the story are so enjoyable in this western contemporary romance that you are sure to want to read the other books in this series. "Finding the Dream," is the second book in the series and we follow Rebecca on both the music and rodeo scene. Of course, the romance is never easy or straightforward with a good story and such is the case for Rebecca. This is a story that you will gladly spend an afternoon with.

Finding the Dream is another great book by Joanne Patterson. In this second book of the Rebecca Steele series we once again get to fall in love with Becky. It has romance, drama, humor and to top it off we get to enjoy some horses too. Chance is sweet, strong and sexy and I loved reading as Becky and him grow closer. This book is fast paced and good for readers who want something on the shorter side and easy to read. The characters are all easy to fall in love with and they will have you hooked on this series by the end of the book, leaving you anxious to grab the next in the series.

This is the second book in the Rebecca Steele Series, but only the first one I have read. I fell in love with so many of the characters. “Becky” and Emily have been friends since they were children, and it shows in the way they interact with each other. Becky is moving forward with her music career while living on a horse ranch. Is it her dream life? Can she find love or with outside forces tear her apart from the man she has come to love? This book was filled with relationship turmoil and triumphs. This was an enjoyable easy read and really felt like I was transformed to their world. Thank you to the author!!

This is the second book of the Rebecca Steele Series. Although it can be read as a standalone I recommend reading book one first. This is my first book from this author. I enjoyed the story but wish I would have read book one first, so I would have the whole back story. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen for Becky in book 3.

Such a sweet story! Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream was very good. With ups, downs, highs and lows it’s everything you could ask for in a book. Becky Steele, on the cusp of starting her country music career while in her 40s, picks the one song that reminds her of past love with Johnny Munroe to launch it. Besides all that she also competes in barrel racing at the rodeo where she meets Chance(Adam Mason). After a scary accident she loses most of her memory of her 20s & 30s, but is assured it’ll come back in time. Romance is in the air between Chance & Becky with Johnny looming in the shadows. With sadness, love, happiness, and drama this story does not disappoint as Becky navigates a new road in life while leaving an old road behind. Well minus her best friend Emily, who will always be along for the ride. I look forward to reading book 3, more than I was to reading this book because of the time jumps in book 1. Don’t let that deter you because I’m glad I did. It was worth it!

Reviews and musings

Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream is the second book in the Rebecca Steele series by Joanne Patterson. Finding the Dream is a very sweet romance with some touching moments. Rebecca finds herself in new circumstances and things around her are changing rapidly, except her best friend. She seems to be doing well in her career, but then life turns upside down . Major decisions have to be made, and well, the path isn’t straight. The characters are intense and well rounded. The plot is interesting. I overall enjoyed this sweet romance.
