Starting from the premise that losing weight doesn’t have to be a tedious process, the book Weight Loss Delight: How to Win While Losing by Bibi Sidoff starts with the author’s personal experience of what didn’t work and what eventually worked for her. After a failure and a success, she came to the conclusion that losing weight is a mental process and in order to succeed one has to enjoy what they do while managing their expectations which need to be realistic. Sidoff proposes a weight loss delight programme in three steps covering nutrition, exercising and relaxation. In the nutrition part of the book, we find useful two-week meal plan ideas for all three meals of the day. For the exercising routine, the advice is to find what works for you. Exercising should be fun so choose the activity that you find the most enjoyable, even though it might not be the one that burns the most calories. This part finishes with examples of exercising activities and the correct way of doing it to make sure you get the desired results while you stay healthy. The book finishes with relaxation ideas like Thai massage or lymphatic drainage.

Reading a book describing the experiences of a person just like you, with the same eating habits, lifestyle and working schedule makes it even more enjoyable, motivating you to do it too.
