Book Review Insightful and humorous… The fate of the world is uncertain. Christ is fed up with man’s behavior. He has decided to end it all. St. Peter appeals for mercy.
Six elderly men are gathered in the basement of the funeral home. They are mourning the passing of a dear friend, AW. They have no idea that as they reminisce a conversation is taking place in heaven. Malchus, the head of the guardian angels, is listening to everything they say. The fate of mankind rests on their shoulders, and they don’t even know it. AW is brought before the Lord to discuss the role the men played in his life.
The Faithful Remnant On Earth, in Purgatory, in Heaven is written with a strong Catholic perspective. The message is one for all mankind. Jack O’Brien uses a parable to convey his message. No one is without sin, and only by the grace of Christ can we be saved. O’Brien adds just the right touch of humor to his tale to keep it light, yet the message is one for us all. |
