As he pressures Caroline more and more to marry him, she keeps putting him off. As more things surface she knows for sure that now she will not marry him.
As her faith grows so has her affection for Nate. Will this work out for them? ..Has her brother been killed in the war as she heard or was it just a lie? Can she live down the rumors that she had been seen with a Yankee?
If you are a lover of historical novels centered around the civil war era, then you can’t go wrong reading this book. The book is well written and you cannot help but come to root on Caroline and Nate, even though they are victims of the war separating the north and the south. |
