Book Review
She appeared to have it all a job she loved, friends that love her, and better than good basketball skills. She spent her spare time assisting adult adoptees find their birth families.
When Denise saw a woman led away in handcuffs and two little girls taken into the custody of social services it brought back memories. The nightmares returned. She knew the fear and uncertainty the girls were facing. Denise was only nine years old when she was taken away from her birth mother, Daphne. The woman was a drug addict and abusive.
Rich was the new guy at work. There was an instant attraction between them but Denise did not find it easy to trust. Could he break down the walls she’d built around herself? She was searching for her biological siblings. That search meant facing her mother.
The Ball’s In Her Court is an inspirational story. Heather Justesen combines romance, inspiration and suspense to create an excellent read. Emotion runs high in this book. I found myself in tears more than once. The characters are well done. The scene between Denise and Daphne was magnificent. I love this book. It is easy to recommend The Ball’s In Her Court to everyone.
