Michael Connelly brings back Harry Bosch in 9 Dragons. Harry and his partner Ferras are investigating the brutal murder of a convenience store owner. The investigation points to an execution by a Triad hit man. In the midst of the investigation he receives a video of his daughter, Maddy. She is held captive in Hong Kong. The investigation is personal now. With the help of his ex-wife, Eleanor Wish and her boyfriend they rush to find Maddy before it is too late.
It is nice to see the old Harry return. In 9 Dragons he is driven by his emotions, this gives the character a whole new dimension. This is an action packed fast moving plot. I listened to 9 Dragons while on a long trip. My husband and I actually sat in the car longer than necessary to hear what would happen next. The twists and turns will keep readers guessing to the end.
