Book Review This tale begins with Federal Agents, Eddie LaCall and Rio Laraquette, on an undercover mission. Rio is pretending to be a prostitute, and Eddie is "her man". When things go awry and Bellmore pulls a gun, Rio’s quick thinking prevents Eddie’s death. Rio has a rule--no dating anyone she works with. She knows that if Eddie sticks around she will have to make a new rule. The attraction between Eddie and Rio is intense and passionate. Neither knows they are soul mates, the reincarnation of Maggie Fuller and Tajan.
After Eddie’s home burns, he temporarily moves in with Rio. While their attraction is strong, neither is sure they can trust the other. Rio lives in a luxurious penthouse and drives a hot car that was way beyond her salary. She is sure Eddie hasn’t been totally honest with her, but what was he hiding? Someone is stalking Rio, and Eddie is determined to keep her safe.
This story is set in Las Vegas. It is the second book in the Soul Searchers Series written by Sandra Edwards. This book is action- packed from the beginning to the end. The plot moves along quickly and intensely builds to the climax. Who wouldn’t like strong and handsome Eddie? Rio is a strong female lead: beautiful, able to take care of herself and intelligent. This book has it all: suspense, romance, action and adventure.
