There is a murder in Fawn Hollow Township, and Officer Kristen Greene and her partner are the first to respond. The victim is a young woman who Kristen has had dealings with before. The girl's parents are going to call in the VMF. Kristen is not sure what that is but later learns it's an organization that keeps control of rogue vampires. The first to arrive are Julian and Gabe. Julian thinks that Kristen is the reincarnation of his late wife Calista. Not long after Kristen meets Julian, his boss Alex arrives. Alex had been in love with Calista many years ago and also sees the resemblance.

Alex comes to her house and gives her some information to help her find the killer. He also tells her that she is a vampire, but she has just not changed all the way. This upsets Kristen, and she falls and injures herself. Alex allows her to drink his blood, and her abilities are enhanced. She feels drawn to both Julian and Alex, and now besides having to find a killer, she has to decide between two very compelling men.

This is a very fast and easy-to-read book with great flow from beginning to end. I read it in one sitting because it was that good. The main characters had great chemistry between them, and there was a lot of sexual tension throughout the book. Gabe and Gina Marie were good minor characters. The cover art work is very good and fitting with the story. I highly recommend this book.
