Decker (Torey Hope: The Later Years) by A.D. Ellis is a contemporary romance. The main sexy love story is between Decker Morgan, a handsome businessman focused on work and family, and Kate Turner, who took a job with Decker's company when she returned home to Torey Hope. When the two meet, sparks fly, but Decker has a strict no fraternization policy with employees. Besides, he is too busy with his business and family for a romantic fling. Kate thinks the secret she knows will help make their relationship more possible, but first she has to get Decker to lower his barriers and give her a chance. They have both returned home looking for something new and exciting, so why couldn't this relationship be it? Just when Decker thinks he might give Kate a chance, the unexpected happens and threatens to tear apart everything the two have built together.
This story is a sizzling romance that adds mystery and secrets into an interesting plot with sexy characters. Outside of the main romantic story, readers will appreciate the real life issues that the author includes. Some of these issues are prevalent in today's society and really help make the story believable. All of the characters are very well written. I love the two main characters, but the side characters of Kendrick, Zach, and Sawyer threaten to steal the show. The Morgan family is so supportive and the characters are funny and vividly written.
