God's Good Works: Stories to Treasure and Tales to Ponder is a work of non-fiction in the current events, Christian theology, and anthology subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Lorilyn Roberts. The author offers a collection of inspirational devotionals with a focus on the Kingdom of God and the imminent return of Jesus. These stories span over a decade and provide readers with messages of faith, hope, and spiritual reflection. The book is divided into two parts, with the second half exploring the concept of the Kingdom of Darkness in the context of current events and scripture. The author delves into pandemic and post-pandemic events, raising questions about their significance in relation to the return of Jesus and the emergence of a New World Order.

Author Lorilyn Roberts has crafted a work that offers big-picture thinking about the state of the world from a Christian viewpoint but also relates this to her own personal challenges and her own journey to walk with Jesus. Roberts shares her personal struggles, including a bitter divorce, infertility, and breast cancer, and these experiences become the backdrop for her reflections on faith and gratitude. The narrative style is passionate but friendly, like a faithful friend on the sidelines who encourages readers to embrace a more selfless and spiritually focused mindset. The essays are varied, well-organized, and offer a thought-provoking viewpoint on contemporary events, with a perspective on current happenings from an eschatological viewpoint that will certainly engage the devout from cover to cover. Overall, God's Good Works is a powerful and accessible read for those seeking to understand the intersection of faith, current events, and personal growth from a deeper perspective.

God's Good Works: Stories to Treasure and Tales to Ponder by Lorilyn Roberts is a heartfelt faith-based collection of anecdotes and insightful lessons drawn from everyday experiences. It also examines the current American and global political climates through the lens of biblical eschatology. Roberts reflects on God’s omnipotence when exploring recent events including the COVID-19 pandemic. She explains that nothing takes God by surprise and encourages Christian believers to look to the future with biblical hope. Roberts emphasizes the value of learning and following God’s truth, especially in these last days. She explains that believers risk deception if they minimize Satan’s influence and his ability to deceive. From her personal experiences, she draws insights about God’s power and goodness and implores believers to be grateful, discerning, and hopeful.

Roberts offers many eye-opening discussions on important topics. I appreciated her honesty when exploring her life experiences and learned essential lessons from the accounts she shared. I loved that the work carefully examines many aspects of life including daily, common events and life-altering global events. Its thought-provoking reflections on God’s unchanging nature even during times of instability were encouraging. Roberts inspires hope in believers and encourages them to be watchful and prepared while putting their trust in Jesus Christ. God's Good Works by Lorilyn Roberts is a powerful offering of essays, discussions, and personal accounts exploring current events and daily living. In God’s Good Works: Stories to Treasure and Tales to Ponder, Lorilyn Roberts shows that changing what the Bible has to say is wrong for several reasons. First, because it is the word of God and should never be altered to suit any purpose; two, purposefully changing passages will change the meaning. Therefore the message that is being delivered won’t be received correctly. Remember, the Bible is a three-act book that tells a story the way God intended it. Although the burden of not knowing may seem overwhelming, trust that God has His reasons and will do what is necessary at the correct time.

God’s Good Works is a wonderful collection of true stories and personal accounts that help explain some of the more confusing parts of the Bible. I enjoyed reading the author’s stories, and I love how they lead up to a specific passage. I love the way Lorilyn Roberts breaks down the message in each Bible passage so it makes sense and fits the reasoning in the section before. This talented writer has put together a great collection that would be a perfect addition to anyone’s daily plans. I recommend God’s Good Works to anyone who wants to understand more about what the Bible is saying and how it applies to our daily lives. I would even suggest adding this book alongside a daily devotional Bible for more clarity on several topics. I have no doubt that anyone who reads the Bible or wants to know more will enjoy everything about this book.

Lorilyn Roberts delivers writings about God and her understanding of recent events in her book, God's Good Works. Roberts constructed her book in two parts: The first section of devotionals are her spiritual observations, and the second part focuses on the hardships of COVID-19 and social unrest, and the changed and charged atmosphere during and after the pandemic. Roberts aligns her thoughts with scripture and ends her discussion of each topic with an applicable prayer.

Lorilyn Roberts crafted a beautiful book about God that will help others recognize Him in their daily lives. A seasoned traveler, the author has experienced religion through the eyes of other believers and this has solidified her Christian views. The stories may be read as devotionals or insights, but they will encourage readers who absorb them to embrace God's word fully, aid others, and discover and apply their calling. Readers can identify with Roberts as they relate to her disappointments and challenges, promoting an understanding of the scripture in relation to her journey and applying the word of God to their lives. Roberts's interpretations of national events help others see God and the good that can come from a uniting Christian perspective. The author's writings will inspire her readers to be physically and spiritually prepared for the future. God's Good Works is a great selection for anyone who may struggle with the recent shift in the nation and believes it may lead to the fulfillment of the events described in the Book of Revelation.

In God’s Good Works: Stories to Treasure and Tales to Ponder by Lorilyn Roberts, the author has taken aspects of her everyday life and with the help of Bible passages explains how we can see God’s hand in guiding us, sending situations that will make us stronger, and help us in understanding, believing, and accepting our faith and the place God the Father, God the Son and God the holy spirit play in it. The author has taken all that has happened since Covid 19 to today and brings our attention to how times are changing and how this affects us as well as how it affects what is prophesied in the Bible.

God’s Good Works could sit with your Bible next to your bed, and you can read any of the chapters with their relevant passages, thoughts, and prayers at the end of each chapter. It is very interesting to read the thoughts and ideas of others who are Christians and how they incorporate the Bible into their lives. This is the type of book that one would have to read slowly over a period of time to take full advantage of what is offered. The author also briefly touches on how man with his greed for power will change the world and how we will survive. Lorilyn Roberts shares many of her own life memories and things that happened to her that made her turn to the Bible and Christian fellowship to help her cope with life and what it threw at her. She chose this path as it seemed that trouble followed every step she took. The prayers at the end of each chapter are inspirational in themselves and bring understanding and relief in a very confusing time when the world has decided to throw the kitchen sink at us. It was a very interesting read.
