4 Tips to Make Your Book A Success

Marketing is a crucial step in the success of your books. Today, being an author does not stop at writing. To be a bestselling author, you need to be a marketer too. Therefore, you need to know how to promote your books. Even if you have access to traditional publishing, you might not get the opportunity to market it as much as you want as a new author. Hence, it is crucial to learn marketing tips and tricks. It will help you promote your books and spread the word to potential readers. Here are a few tips for you to market your books.

Cover and blurb:

Do not judge a book by its cover. You must have heard this phrase. It is a lie when it comes to books. We all judge a book by its cover. It is human nature to pick the things they find beautiful. If your cover is gorgeous, it will attract more readers. Whereas a poorly edited cover can deter the readers. Your first step after writing and editing should be to hire a professional to design a cover for you. Research the cover styles popular in the genre of your book.

A well-written blurb also catches the eye of a reader. So make it intriguing and do not give too much information.

An author website:

Creating an author's website is a must. An author website is a place where readers will get to know you.

It will help your readers contact you. Put your author bio, the blurb, excerpts from your book, and bonus contents. It should also mention your media handles and a buying option for your book.

The website does not have to be complex. Remember, it is a way to connect and create a brand.

Online presence:

You must have an online presence to market your books. Create different social media handles and promote your books. For example, Instagram has become an important marketing tool. You can advertise your book through reels, as the algorithm works in favor of reels.

You can also join Facebook book clubs or any book club in general. You can promote your book and start discussions about it. They are the best place to spread the word around.

Reviewers:

A book needs reviews to get more limelight, especially on Amazon. So the first thing you need to do is determine the targeted audience. Then, find the reviewers in the targeted audience and convince them to read your book, and leave a review. The key is not to be irritating when doing so. You can approach reviewing platforms like Readers Favorite, as well, for reviews. You can also get in touch with other writers. If they read your book and like it, they can promote it to their audience. An author's review will have more credit.

Marketing, at first, can seem a daunting task. But it can be easily broken down into simple steps. The main thing in marketing your books is having a presence and being accessible to all. Recognize your audience and their needs, and you are good to go.
