4 Ways to Boost Your Ebook Marketing for Increased Sales

The market is ripe for indie authors who are using online retailing giants to share their craft with readers. With the best platforms and a little hard work, indie authors can nail the marketing game with their well-timed advertisements. This is one of the reasons why many more authors are trying their hands at it. Some authors succeed tremendously while some fail miserably.

Marketing is an art that anyone can perfect; all the author needs is determination and the will to do it. If you have recently written a novel and you want to publish it independently, here are 4 ways through which you can boost marketing and sales.

Make Your Book Available for Pre-Orders

Pre-orders are simply advance listings of your ebooks on any of the online retailers. According to trends, the authors who list their books for pre-order on these websites sell more books than they would on average. This is because it allows the author to have more time for advance marketing; they can start the process 12 months in advance or even before the book is actually finished. This also gives authors ample time to engage their readers on social media to build up their interest and have them waiting for the book. This works exceptionally well for books that are part of a series.

Curate Your Email List

You must have your own blog for this is where your readers can subscribe to your newsletter. This is the best way you can create your personal email list where you can share updates about your upcoming novels and market your new content regularly. Another way to increase or add to your email list is by hosting giveaways with other authors and have the participants subscribe to your newsletter as part of the process.

Good Signature

The emails you send must have a very good signature at the end. Just putting your name at the end of the email will not do it if you want to market your book for the future. Always sign off your emails with your name and the list of social media sites where your readers can connect with you for future updates. Leave naked links or hyperlinks for your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Website as well as a 'coming soon' part where you can leave updates about future projects.

Make the Ending of Your Book Count

Instead of leaving blank pages at the end of your ebook, utilize those pages by leaving links to your other projects. Consider this: a new reader tries your book and now they are in love with your writing. Make it easy for them to find you and connect with you. If your book was part of a series, leave the links to the other books and if you have a new book coming in the series, leave a link for the preorder. Other than that, you can also leave links to your author’s page, your website and your social media there so they can keep up with you.
