Promoting a book, marketing it the right way and simply using online platforms can be a bit of a daunting task for some authors. However, there are some easy and quick online marketing ideas for authors that work wonders for most. These ideas are straightforward and easy to understand, so you don’t have to be an outstandingly tech savvy person to be able to nail them.
Here are quick and easy ways for you to market your book online.
1. The presentation of your book is very important, especially when it comes to online sales. Since the reader would not be able to pick your book up and feel it, they would be relying on the things that they actually see. For example, the reader would be checking your product page to get a feel of the book. The information about your book (synopsis, author page, pictures of the cover, etc.) should be thoroughly checked and who is the best person to do it, but you? Go to the page and see if the information added is correct.
2. Another thing that you should consider is getting some positive reviews. You need to try to get at least three positive reviews from real users so that you can have some positivity on your page. You can always enlist the help of your friends, colleagues and family members to review your book and give their feedback on Amazon or anywhere else that you are selling your book. Ask them to purchase the book on the retailer website so that their review is as authentic as possible. Even a four star review would be good enough.
3. Launching an event on social media platforms can be of immense help and they are simple enough to create. You can use Facebook as your main platform and simply create an event on your profile for the book release. Once you have created the event, it is just a matter of inviting people in your contact list and spreading the word around. This is a quick and exceptionally easy way of marketing your book and giving it exposure.
4. Last, but not least, you need to put together your contact list to create your personal email list. Send out an email and introduce yourself professionally as an author and introduce your book. Just make sure that you don’t spam your contacts, email considerably and send emails regularly, but not too often for the best impact.
There are many other ways that you can use to promote your book easily; however, these are the easiest to attempt. The best thing about these tips is that they are applicable to authors who already have their books in the market and for the authors whose books are about to be launched. You can use these tips for when your book is about to be released or you want to give your sales a boost before the holiday season begins.
