Ten Tips of a Top Quality Self Publisher

Do you want to know how an unknown self publisher rose to fame? Here are 10 tips of a top quality self publisher.

Believe in yourself. In the field of writing, only a few fortunate souls get to be recognized. One very significant characteristic of successful writers is that they know within themselves that they have what it takes to make it to the top. Your opinion about yourself is of utmost importance because what you believe about yourself is what will be seen by others. Even when everything is going against you, never let go of that dream in your heart. You can do it.

Be yourself. It is so easy to be tempted to imitate the style of other writers. It is a must, though, that you retain your own style of writing. Let your own personality and character shine in all your works. Be the original that you were meant to be.

Always give your best in every single work. Always provide high quality work each time. Do not settle for good. Aim for the best. Give your 100% in everything you do. You owe your readers that much and yourself too.

Learn from other great writers. They are great teachers. They can help you become a better writer. Keep on growing and studying and learning. Do not stop improving yourself. Learning is a lifetime process. Never ever think that you have acquired all the knowledge that you need. Always be on the lookout for what is new and trending.

Promote your work. Good marketing is one great secret of successful self publishers. It is very important that you make your presence felt—daily if possible. You can do this by maximizing your use of social networks. One or two a posts a day can help boost your sales in your Facebook, Twitter, blog and other accounts. Be visible. Book signing promotions won’t hurt you. Try to be creative in showcasing your work.

Turn the negative into positive. There will always be a bad review, no matter how good your work is. You cannot please everybody. Do not be affected by the negative reviews. Instead, read them objectively. If you think that the reviews have solid points, then strive to change and improve. If it has nothing but the intention to hurt you, discard it.

Seek the help of professionals. If you think you have no talent with important details like how to make an attractive cover or how to have great pictures, then get someone who is gifted with such talents. It is a wise investment. Focus on your own talent. You cannot do it all.

Be grateful. It’s not every day someone gets the same privilege that you have. Acknowledge the contributions of other people in your work. Be thankful even for the little things.

Consider all avenues. Be open for all possibilities. Although you’re into self publishing now, do not close your doors to other offers.

Enjoy life. It is not just about selling your books. It is also about love, family, friends and those other little things that make life beautiful.
