Get into the spirit of Christmas before the holidays with Laura Lynn Doyle's A Christmas Without Coal? This heartwarming picture book follows the story of Santa and his elves at the North Pole. One day, Santa's lead elf, Ellie, comes up to him with her reindeer, Thor, bringing news of a coal shortage. Santa and the elves need that coal to put into the stockings of the kids on the naughty list. Soon, Santa finds an ingenious solution. He tells the elves that instead of using coal, they will write notes with kind words this year because they must bring cheer and joy to everyone. As the elves think of what to write in the notes, the culprit who hid the coal reveals themselves. But it's all for the best, as everyone will find joy and happiness.
Treat your young readers to a wholesome Christmas tale with A Christmas Without Coal? Laura Lynn Doyle's uplifting rhyming story will instantly brighten your day and make you smile. This illustrated book captures the spirit of Christmas and shows what it really signifies -- joy, laughter, love, and kindness for everyone. The narrative is dialogue-driven, but all the interactions between the characters rhyme. Young readers will find a lot to love about this book. From the colorful illustrations to the humor-filled dialogue and the lively characters, this book entertains from start to finish. Apart from Santa, the elves Ellie and Piper and the reindeer Thor also make a mark on the reader. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this picture book. Young readers will have a blast with this one, and so will their parents.
