Eternity, Sekhet Saga Book 3 by KK Weakley is a horror novel designed to take the reader into the underworld realm ruled by Lucifer and his Queen Lilith. Lucifer and Lilith enjoy playing games to satisfy their need for entertainment. Those within their realm are their pawns, designed for only one reason…reducing boredom. This deadly game is played out in all worlds involving humans, witches, werewolves, and the dead, not to mention demons of all sorts from the underworld. Molly gives up her life to save that of her love, Joe. Joe would do anything to save Molly from having to go back into the underworld, but neither truly knows who they can trust. Can Molly trust her father, the demon Scurlock? Or will he betray Joe to Lucifer? Sekhet was Scurlock’s lover, but the true love of his life was Lucy and their daughter Molly. Scurlock will do anything to protect Molly and Joe from ending up as eternal playthings for Lucifer, Lilith, and Sekhet. Is it enough? Will love win?
KK Weakley’s Eternity is an outstanding horror story. Weakley’s plot development is second to none as are the characters created. We begin in the human world with Molly, only to have her transported quickly into the underworld, while Scurlock advances on his mission to present her to Lucifer as a gift to Lilith. The transitions from the underworld to the world above are seamless and the reader will be transported from one to the other without knowing what is happening. There is a great pace to this book. Nothing is rushed, everything occurs at the right time and the story unfolds brilliantly. Weakley’s characters are so well described that the reader will easily see each character as they are presented. Each action taken has its own consequences and no one knows for certain who is pulling the strings. Is it Lucifer, Lilith, or Sekhet? I applaud Weakley for their writing. Eternity is a powerful book, giving the reader a solid look at what the underworld could be like.
