Ash Bishop's Intergalactic Exterminators, Inc is a science fiction novel. In this space adventure, the United Alliance of Intelligent Beings (UAIB) keeps the universe safe and running smoothly. Intergalactic Exterminators track down and destroy any species that migrate to other planets and are a danger to the ecosystem. Russell Wesley first encounters the Intergalactic Exterminators in a Wyoming forest. Russ lives a wanderer's life, moving from job to job. When his grandfather passes away in Evanstown, Wyoming, he remains there to save his grandfather's unique bookstore known as Mysterious Universe. In the bookstore, Russ finds an unusual green stone with yellow veins. Nina Hosseinzadeh is an electrical engineering student who is in Evanstown to care for her terminally ill father. She discovers that the stone is a source of tremendous energy and is an Obinz stone of alien origin, which attracts a monstrous cat to earth. The Intergalactic Exterminators arrive to destroy the alien cat. Russ and Nina soon find themselves in space, working for the Intergalactic Exterminators!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ash Bishop's Intergalactic Exterminators, Inc. I loved its incredible characters, terrific humor, and highly imaginative world-building. I appreciated how family bonds and caring for family remained a strong driving force throughout the novel. The story quickly turned into a page-turner for me. I liked Russ Wesley's character, both on earth and in the unfamiliar universe beyond. He had to think and act fast in life-threatening situations, making the story grow exponentially in tension and suspense! I liked Nina Hosseinzadeh's character, her curiosity, and her inventiveness as a scientist, as well as her feistiness and courage. I thought the creation of the United Alliance of Intelligent Beings (UAIB) and its unique sentient species was well-crafted and rich in detail. The situations and interactions involving the Exterminators, Russ, and Nina, provided great depth and color to the story. The tale twists and turns right to the conclusion. I thought the ending was terrific, and the suspense was unbearable! A very enjoyable sci-fi story, with remarkable characters and fantastic imagination!
