In My Story, His Glory, Nathaniel X. Arnold shares his heart-warming and inspirational testimony of God’s love with us. He tells of his encounters with his Creator, the tests he had to endure, and how it has all aided in helping him understand God and why things happen the way they do. But the road to God is full of trials and tribulations, as he quickly points out. From a young age, he struggled with the injustices in the world, specifically as a Black man, and why. He then decided to embark on his own journey, never fully satisfied with the answers he received from those around him, only to find himself drifting further and further away from God. However, the Lord does not give up on His children easily, as we will learn in Nathaniel’s autobiography.

I decided to read My Story, His Glory, as I had questions I wanted answers to but was too afraid to ask myself. To my relief, I did find some answers, and as Nathaniel points out in the book, nothing happens by chance or luck; it happens because God wants it to, so I know I chose it for a reason! I also liked the openness and honesty with which it is told; the dreams and God’s voice are a testimony in themselves. We are all tested at some point, and Nathaniel X. Arnold’s message gave me a broader perspective. The passages quoted from the Bible were also a nice touch and aided in the inspiration I felt.
