Saanvi's Bad Day is a children's picture book written by Sheena Sharma, with illustrations by Anais Balbas. It follows Saanvi, a young girl who faces a challenging day at school. Upon returning home, her father immediately notices her frustration as she storms into the kitchen, drenched in water and throwing her backpack on the table. Saanvi shares her series of mishaps, which include forgetting her homework, facing an unfortunate incident at lunch, losing her umbrella, and getting splashed by a bus. To comfort her, Saanvi's father shares his own experiences with bad days and teaches her effective coping strategies to handle her emotions during bad days. Readers will not only learn these valuable techniques but also see how Saanvi successfully applies them in gym class, demonstrating resilience, positivity, and growth.

Saanvi's Bad Day is a heartwarming story that teaches children how to deal with their emotions and ensure that bad experiences do not define their entire day. The story emphasizes the importance of acknowledging feelings while actively seeking constructive ways to overcome negativity and rediscover joy. The strategies outlined in this book are simple yet impactful and beneficial for both children and adults. Sheena Sharma presents these concepts in a relatable manner, making them accessible and engaging for young readers. Everyone faces challenging days where things go wrong, leading to feelings of being overwhelmed or discouraged. These moments are a universal part of life and often provide valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. Through her journey, Saanvi learns to embrace a more positive outlook and overcome adversity. The book features a discussion guide and vibrant illustrations that bring the characters and story to life. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to maintain a positive perspective and effectively manage their emotions during tough times.
