The Nexis Secret is a young adult paranormal romance that blurs the lines of prep school with angels and spiritual warfare. Montrose Academy is a fancy boarding school hiding an interesting secret. Lucy has strange visions of angels, prophets, and wraiths. This attracts the attention and romantic interest of two rival characters who both want Lucy's support. One of them is the Nexis Society president. But when Nexis can't lure Lucy in on their side of the battle between light and dark, they resort to other bullying tactics. Lucy gets the help of Guardians and fights the Nexis in a flurry of spectacular angelic battles. Can Lucy stop the Nexis plan to take over the world? Or is it already too late?
This is a pretty interesting paranormal story with cool battle scenes and well described abnormal characters, like angels and demons. But it isn't just a paranormal story. It also has action, adventure, and dark parts that scare the reader as well as the characters. Although it is a young adult book, the material is sure to be enjoyed by a broader audience that would include younger, middle grade readers as well as adults and readers of the New Adult genre. The setting and world building is also really nicely done and readers will have a good sense of the crazy world that they have been dumped in. And they will enjoy reading about this world as they find their way out.
