Whoa! Talk about an epic read! That's definitely what I thought when I finished reading A Fine Line: The Ancients, Part II by author JC Brennan. Continuing the story of William Healthaway and his family in the third installment of the Fine Line series, William is preparing himself and his family for war. When a half-dead young girl appears out of nowhere, William's crew is unsettled. William worries that the girl might have been sent by the evil Aurora and her Damned followers, and if her intentions are truly as innocent as they seem. And with members of the crew still learning about and developing their ultimately impressive skills, will they really be ready to battle Aurora's experienced and deadly warriors? Or will this be the end of the crew and their fight for what is right in the world?
A fantastic, fantastic read. Author JC Brennan has done a masterful job yet again of creating a world and characters that are fantastical and yet realistic. The reader will truly care about the Healthaway family and the crew, and wish the best for them. If that's not the hallmark of a truly great writer, than I don't know what is. A Fine Line: The Ancients, Part II would be enjoyed by any reader who loves fantasy, action, adventure or just a great piece of fiction. I am happy to highly recommend author JC Brennan's work, and certainly hope that she's already working on her next fantastic book.
