Fei Zheng-Ward’s Airplane: Search and Find does a great job of breaking down a flight step by step for children to see how it all works. The book is written chronologically, walking families through departures, checking in, security lines, and boarding the aircraft. From there, it follows the journey as everyone settles into the cabin, takes off, flies high in the sky, lands, and goes through luggage pick-up and arrivals. Each scene doubles as a game, asking kids to spot crew members, passengers, toys, and items hidden on the pages. Moving from busy terminals to the inner compartments of an actual plane, the author turns an exciting journey into a clear picture of what to expect. It takes the hectic energy of a busy airport and shapes it into something predictable yet comforting for young readers.

Fei Zheng-Ward’s Airplane: Search and Find is an engaging children’s activity book that transforms real-world travel concepts into pure fun for kids. It makes for a beautiful shared reading experience where children naturally start asking questions about the trip. Nabila Amanda’s illustrations are eye-catching and delightful. They are packed with bright characters and helpful visual details that keep children focused. I like that the book introduces travel terminology during the activities, making it very easy for young minds to absorb new words as they read and play. It gently introduces airport routines, which is perfect for easing nerves by showing kids that every step has a purpose. The search games double as great conversation starters for parents to help kids talk about how they feel about flying. It’s a great companion piece that will have kids eagerly scanning the airport for these sights, making the entire travel routine feel like fun for everyone.
