I have been writing since i was 10 years old, all thanks to a single 30 second commercial designed to inspire children to read and write. I am inspired by many things whether it be a song, a person, a brief scene on a movie, and even a commercial...if it's the right one! The book "Caged Light" was brought on by a scene i wrote over three years ago, and there was something in me that had to know who these characters were and what led them to being chased through the woods by demonic creatures. It was time to knuckle down and write, and Caged Light is the first in a series of 4 books! Writing is my true passion because you can do so may things and go to so many places, all you have to do is let your imagination soar!

Caged Light by Tom Howard is a hair-raising Christian science-fiction story portraying the battle between good and evil. One beautiful starlit night, Michelle regains consciousness at the bottom of a hole. Alone, slightly battered and bruised, she has no memory of how she got there nor where she lives. The only thing that she remembers is her name. Michelle comes to the horrible conclusion that she has been beaten and left for dead. Having no desire to meet her attackers again, she climbs out of the crater. Reaching the summit and coming out into an open field, Michelle is horrified to find terrifying and unholy creatures racing towards her from the woods. She screams and runs. Wyatt, a detective from the nearby town, is driving by the field and hears Michelle's screams. He races to her and brings her safely to his car. Concerned for her safety, Wyatt takes her to a safe location until she can recover her memory. Unfortunately, Wyatt's former boss, a crime lord, is keen on possessing Michelle and will let nothing deter him from acquiring her. Wyatt's dark and undesirable past may be the only thing that can keep Michelle alive. But, who is Michelle and from where did she come? Why is a crime boss so determined to get her?
Caged Light by Tom Howard is a gripping Christian novel in the science-fiction genre that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is a hair-raising story that had me covered in goosebumps even after I had finished reading it. It is a story about darkness and light, angels and demons, and the battle between Heaven and Hell. The characters are placed in the center of a fight between the two dimensions. Wyatt's character is conflicted about his dark and corrupt history, but he is determined to overcome it and make amends for his misdeeds. He is portrayed as a man of strength and integrity, someone you want to have your back. Because of her amnesia, Michelle's character is not as well-defined, but she plays a pivotal role in the story line, and her background is intriguing. This is a book that will keep your heart pumping from start to finish, and will leave you wanting to stay in the light. This story is fascinating and terrifying. I recommend this novel to those who have a penchant for thrilling science-fiction stories.
