Cloudy With a Chance of Answers by Carolyn Summer Quinn is a murder mystery. Bethany Burrows' uncle Ryan had died, and as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, she had to go to New Jersey to deal with his estate. In 1988, Ryan’s daughter had been abducted, and he had spent his whole life trying to find out who did it. As Bethany went through his papers, she stumbled over a lead that could help her discover what had happened to Ashley. Can Bethany do what her detective uncle couldn’t? What will it take to solve this case, and is she prepared for what it might cost her in terms of her own life?
Cloudy With a Chance of Answers by Carolyn Summer Quinn is a compelling mystery story set in the time of the pandemic but stretching back years before. The way it is written will grab you from the first page, and it won’t take you long to read this book as you simply won’t want to put it down. It’s a great cold case mystery, fun to read, with plenty of action. The characters are all well-developed, especially the main female lead, who is a good, strong personality with plenty of go in her. This is one of those stories that builds up gradually, continually drawing you into its web as the suspense ramps up. What an enjoyable story, well-written, and with an intriguing plot, guaranteed to be appreciated by anyone who reads it. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy murder mysteries, especially those involving cold cases. Good luck in trying to solve this one!
