Button, Button who’s got the button is an old game but in this cat and mouse game its Tiara, Tiara who is the real one and who is the impostor, in fact 4 impostors. Two families lay claim to the famous Tiara, the Holland’s and the Fitzgerald’s and it seems the feud has gone on through the generations. Duke Richard Exton has a scheme to get the Tiara by cheating in a card game.

When Stephen Holland loses the Tiara he flees to America. His sister Susannah marries and goes off to India, and Richard marries plain Jane. After being widowed Susannah shows back up in England with her pet monkey Chatterji with plans on stealing back the original tiara. Others have the same plan in mind. Can Tiara be returned to the rightful owner? When Gareth learns the real truth about Susannah will he still want to be romantically involved or push her to the side and just who is Jane’s secret lover?

This tale is filled with romance, suspense and more than a bit of humor. It is an enjoyable read. The characters are quite charming and one cannot help but feel they are right in the middle of this mess with Susannah and Gareth. Recommended for all who read regency romance and for those that do not.
