Hank Pualoa thought he was sober enough to drive his family back home. He was wrong. His judgment was impaired. He had an accident and lost his wife. He lost his children to their grandmother. After his release from jail, he left Hawaii, leaving his business in the hands of his brother, John. His children hated him and wondered if he hated them. When Kekoa witnesses the murder of his Uncle John, he flees for his life. There is no place to go and no one he can turn to. After the death of his grandmother, his sister was sent to a foster home, separating the two of them. Will Kekoa be able to outsmart Red Murphy?

I was hooked from the very first page. The chapters are short but there is plenty of suspense, intrigue, blackmail and betrayal. The characters are very easy to connect with. The descriptions of Hawaii are excellent. Adventure and suspense make this, a book you won’t want to miss.
