Daffodils by author Donna B. Snow is a beautiful story of love lost and found again. Margaret Ellington has recently lost her husband, and she decides to move to another city to make a new start. But on the day of her move, Lukas North shows up on her doorstep...Lukas, her ex-fiancee, who broke their engagement a month before their wedding day without a goodbye; he just left her a letter, and she hadn't seen him or spoken to him in 10 years. Now, on the day she wants to forget the past, he shows up on her doorstep seeking her forgiveness and to renew their relationship.
This is a quick read but is a very nice story about forgiveness and renewal. The author has done a great job, and if the story had been a little longer, she could have really built up the relationship between the two main characters so that the reader would feel more empathy. The story was over and done with so quickly that it really didn't resonate with me. However, the message is clear, and it is an entertaining read, nonetheless.
