One of the many things that I liked about this book is the way Destiny told her story. It's intimate and personal, yet resonates with you because of the fundamentally human nature of her struggles and how she strived to find solutions to her problems with compassion and self-belief. Toward the end of the book, readers will find some motivational reflections. Highly recommended.

This is another fantastic memoir, and Arnold provides readers with a useful model for trusting themselves. The best bits are Arnold writing about responsibility in real situations, and she always walks the walk. In the classroom, a student finally understands a lesson after having trouble with it before, and the moment lets readers see what good teaching can do for someone who already feels defeated. In a federal job dispute, Arnold uses dates, records, and written responses to protect her position when the workplace turns hostile. Well written and direct, readers who enjoy memoirs about rebuilding with purpose, this is the book for you.
