In Dylan and the Wolf by Kalubriah Sage, we follow Dylan, the author's young son, whose world was overturned by unwarranted medical interventions. Dylan's emotional story began at age two, after developing Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He endured harsh chemotherapy treatments, which adversely affected his genetics. Dylan made a slow journey to remission, only to relapse again. Unfortunately, he became entangled in a medical system that deprived families of accessing life-saving alternative treatments. So, during his relapse, the ongoing chemotherapy treatments cost him his precious life. Consequently, this motivated Sage to publish a book that explores the truths about bioaccumulation, the process by which toxic chemicals accumulate in the body and affect its genetics over time. Moreover, she connects this medical concern to the broader issue of corporate control over our health choices.

Dylan and the Wolf is an illuminating exploration of the harmful forces in our health care system that hamper our given right to make independent and informed health choices. Kalubriah Sage masterfully blends moving prose, enlightening research, and emotive storytelling to expand on this thought-provoking topic. Her book is a powerful call to action designed to help readers reflect on how corporate control has shaped the mandates of our medical services. The author passionately encourages readers to campaign for social and medical reforms that put life and the next generation first. Each heartfelt personal anecdote and drawing (from Dylan) will help readers to authentically connect with Sage and Dylan's harrowing fight against an unjust and draconian healthcare system.
