Fortuna is a complex online role playing game. Jason Lind is addicted to the game of fame fortune and power. At he times has trouble distinguishing between real life and his online personality. The game has strict privacy policies. He takes the name Father Allesandro da Scala. He becomes obsessed with breaking the games code.Forced to drop out of Stanford due to economic hardships; Jason takes a job working for his uncle at Global Packet Control. Nine years previously his father had died in a car accident while employed by Global. When Jason discovers questionable business transactions at the business he calls on his persona to decide how to best handle the situation.

The plot of this book is well done. I would like to recommend it for Young Adults, possibly middle school age but the romance makes that impossible. The book would have been better without the romance. The beginning of the plot is a bit slow but quickly picks up the pace. This is a mystery thriller that will be a hit with gamers. There are hints throughout the story for readers guessing at what will happen next.
